Sardar Sarvai Papanna Goud (August 18, 1650 – April 2, 1709) was a prominent rebel hero and public leader from the 17th century Deccan region. He led a historic struggle by organizing the various sections of the society (Bahujans) against the tyrannical rule of the Mughal Empire and the tax exploitation of the feudal feudal system of the time. He built strategic forts like Khilashapur , Tatikonda and Sarvaipet using guerrilla warfare tactics and provided an alternative democratic regime. He fought with the aim of protecting the self-respect of the oppressed common working people, and has remained in the history of Telangana as an invincible public hero and a symbol of Bahujan statehood.
